Here you can find a short description of the machines and their processors which have been used for our benchmarks. In the remainder of these pages we will use the following abbreviations for the denomination of these machines:

  • SFE2900 / SFE6900: Sun Fire E2900 / E6900
    12 / 24 dualcore UltraSPARC IV chips @ 1.2 GHz, 46 / 96 GB memory,
    Solaris 10, Sun Studio 11 and 12
