Summary:

This presentation will give an overview of Sun's implementation of OpenMP. The presentation will describe the transformations applied by the compiler and the runtime library support provided. This information will give insight into how OpenMP programs work and how to write more efficient OpenMP programs.

The Speaker:

Nawal Copty is a Software Engineer at Sun Microsystems. She works with the SPARC Compilation Technology Group on the compilation of OpenMP programs. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University, and her interests include parallel languages, compiler and runtime support for parallel machines, high performance computing, and parallel algorithms.
