Step 1: Install Network-Manager
Open the gnome-terminal by pressing Alt + F2 and run the following command:
”sudo apt-get install network-manager-vpnc“.
Step 2: Add VPN-Connection
Open network-manager. Then click on VPN and add a new connection.
Schritt 3: Choose VPN Connection Type
Choose Cisco Compatible VPN (vpnc), then Create.
Step 4: Enter userdata
Connection name: RWTH Aachen
Gateway: vpn.rwth-aachen.de
User name: username (format: ab123456)
User password: WLAN/VPN Password
Group name: FullTunnel
Group password: medical
Click on Save. Then you can choose the new VPN-Connection in the network-menu.
